Hello! I hope that you are all enjoying your summer!

I have been working in the classroom setting since 1997. I have been with 4 different school districts and most recently finished the last school year as a sixth grade teacher. I have worked in Kindergarten through Senior year classes as an aide or substitute. I have taught English to Russian families living near Willow Springs and helped to create many websites. (my website address is listed below!)

For the Summer, I am working at Silver Dollar City as a Tour Guide in Marvel Cave. If you come through the cave tour you may see me and I’ll be there to answer your questions and hopefully keep you from getting lost in the cave!

I am a native of Maryland - growing up there and going to school. I moved to Missouri in November 1995. I lived with my grandparents for a year before getting out on my own, starting college, and working full time at Willow Springs Elementary School.

I love to read and try hard to instill that value in my students. I love to learn new things. Working with the Russian families made me want to learn Russian. I am still studying their language and still visit many of the families. Music and movies are other ways I like to spend my free time. I was a manager of a movie theater for 4 years when also working as a substitute.

I am looking forward to meeting my students and parents as well as other members of the community. I hope to be with the School District for many years. I have a lot to offer as an educator and hope to be a positive influential member of the school system.
